Tank Cure sealant for petrol tanks. (600gr)
This tank sealant not only seals small joints and pores, it also helps to prevent future leaks and the appearance of rust in the tank. It is advisable to use the sealant just after re-chroming a tank because if it is not done, it tends to rust more quickly. It can also be used as a crankcase sealant to stop oil sweating.
Before using tank sealant, you must make sure your tank is completely dry, grease free and as rust free as possible. For best results, use both Tank Cleaner and Rust Remover before applying sealant. All Tank Cure products are extensively tested side by side for best results, which are always achieved when used in combination.
450 grams of sealant is suitable for use on motorcycle tanks up to 20 litres and 600 grams for those up to 26 litres. The sealant is sold as a two component epoxy resin that will need to be shaken to mix thoroughly before application. Once applied, the tank will need to be rotated continuously for about 15-20 minutes so that it touches all surfaces, forming a good coat. Excess sealant will then need to be drained off.
It takes 7 days before you can use the tank, as the tank cure epoxy coating must dry completely.
