Cometic AFM seals have an aluminum core with a thin layer of chemically bonded, blown nitrile foam type synthetic rubber on both sides. Resistant to temperatures ranging up to over 250° F (122° C) AFM rubber has an 85% recovery while maintaining strong torque retention.
