Compatible with Harley-Davidson motorcycles manufactured between 1983 and 2018 that use a right-hand thread tank cap.
Before placing your order, check the type and direction of the thread on your installed tank. Some motorcycles with split tanks use different caps on each side, so this product should only be mounted on the opening with a right-hand thread.
The cap can be installed with the vent channels open or closed. It is supplied from the factory in a vented configuration for Harley-Davidson. Any modification should be made taking into account the original tank breathing system and the specific needs of the motorcycle.
The concave top gives the tank a more compact appearance than a conventional cap. The black finish goes especially well with dark tanks, minimalist builds, and blacked-out components.
Make sure the gasket is properly seated and that the cap closes without forcing the thread. Also check that the ventilation configuration is suitable for the motorcycle's fuel system.
Do not use tools to tighten the cap. The exterior knurling is designed to allow manual opening and closing.
